No Sew tutu

So my family gets a pettiskirt and a tutu mixed up, I decided to make a  no sew tutu for my little girl. It came out very I will have to say for my first time. She look extra cute in it and I made her a diaper cover with ruffles. When attach that picture later. As soon as I get a good one. Bonus added a picture of her in the white pettiskirt.

Simply Pink

I'm about to do a simple pink pettiskirt minus the ruffle at the bottom.....Let's see how it turns out.

Finished Finished Finished

Okay I did it this time in two days....Could've been finished in one day but I do have a little baby and she does require my attention. I must say she was a great little girl for these two days, being I was occupied with sewing, sewing, sewing! I must say it turned out better than the first to me. I didn't have to go back and fix anything. Tomorrow I will add pictures of my little princess in it. The felt button shirt with the lettuce hem turned out great! I love that I started sewing! Great hobby to have! It saves money and lets me recycle her old clothes into something great!

Pettiskirt Fever!

I started my baby's white pettiskirt today! I am so excited about sewing her a  pettiskirt now. I am so happy I started sewing in April! Dreamspunkids.com has been so helpful through the process. Plus I think she looks great in all that fluff!!!!! I will try to finish tonight I'm almost there! I also went by the fabric store and pick up some great felt buttons. I am going to lettuce hem the bottom of her t-shirts and add the buttons....pictures for that project will follow tomorrow when I get started.

Been a While!

It's been a while but I'm back! I lettuce hemmed a few of my baby old snap t-shirts and made a pettiskirt! I was so excited Dreamspunkids.com has easy instructions on how to make a pettiskirt! I decided to make the black one first, can't mess up black....lol Next I'm making a white with ruffles and a pink one with ribbons. I will attach a few of the pics. I kinda messed up the sleeves on the shirt but practice will make perfect but I must say I am satisfied with the outcome and I must say she looks great in it!

Rainy Day

I'm a little upset, had to exchange my sewing machine. The bobbin kept jamming and I couldn't finish a project at all. Nothing changed but after a long period of sewing the bobbin would just jam. Now I have to wait for them to send me a new sewing machine. I love HSN....they make exchanging so easy. I as soon as I get my new machine I will start my baby girl's pettiskirt! I am excited about that! Played the Mega Million....lol fingers crossed.... I love to DREAM!  Back to dreaming about sewing. I did have a great dream that I finished my daughter's pettiskirt and it was perfect on the first try.

So Long for Now but I will sew again!!!!

Chiffon Practice

I decided to do a trial run with the chiffon fabric to see how attaching ruffles and gathering would be. It turned out pretty good I think. Off to the fabric store tomorrow to get some satin fabric for the pettiskirt waistband. Tomorrow I will take a stab at sewing the actual pettiskirt. I am so excited! My 4.5 month old will have her first pettiskirt. Heres the pics of the trial run. But i did attach pieces on the wrong side of the fabric. Thats why I'm happy i did a trial run.

Inspiration

Gotta a new pic of my little inspiration! I really want to create Mom and Daughter outfits.....for the moms who just can't get enough of loving their daughter.  MOMMY LOVES YOU!!!!

Practice Is Gonna Make Perfect!

I really want to make a pettiskirt for me and my daughter. I'm practicing ruffles, attaching ruffles at the bottom and gathering. It's pretty easy but I see some areas that I will need to practice some but working on scrap material is really helping.

It's Done!!!!!!!

Okay everybody, I have sewn my first ever project! I am so excited. This is the first time I have ever sewn anything in my life! I feel it came out pretty descent. I can wear it out the house and around the house. I figure why not make my first project a house dress. Simple with elastic at the top. I went retro with the fabric...Like to keep it fun! I might also add, I did this project with no pattern just eyed everything, so for that I guess it is a good finished project! My little girl didn't like me not showing any attention. Next babysitter is needed...lol Without any further due.....<drum roll please>...... Tell me what you think!!!!!!

Excited!!!

Got my chiffon in from Dreamspunshop.com!!!!!
Today I will sew my first dress and as soon as I get a little my comfortable. I'm going to sew (drumroll please)......a pettiskirt for my daughter and me!!!! Pictures coming soon of my first creation

Well

I started sewing....practicing straight stitches and curved stitches....
The problem I'm having is gathering two fabrics using my gathering foot.
I can't wait til I make an actual project. Practice makes perfect! Staying positive!

I really was inspired by www.sewserendipity.com creation. They are exactly what I was looking for. I have been searching for the right patterns for months and I lucked up on her creations. I can't wait to start making them. =)
